This is a fabulous in depth article where you really get to see Rob's character & personality. I highly recommend reading it. Here's an excerpt:
It's hard for a boy on the brink of stardom to answer just what he wants out of sudden fame. Despite his appearances now in two wildly popular franchises, Pattinson says he's not interested in grabbing at big-money roles. As soon as he comes into cash, he has a tendency to blow it all anyway. ''Not on cars, obviously,'' he laughs. ''I have very, very low expenditures, but still I manage to spend it all. I guess Hot Pockets are more expensive than I thought.''

Today they bring us part two of their interview with Rob:
Do you read the fan mail?
Yeah. I do that quite a lot actually, because I get batches sent from London. I go through tons and tons of it at a time. I get sent some good stuff. I’ve gotten some really good books. I had this amazing thing made by a fan website, this really amazing bound book with all of these notes inside it. I mean, it must have taken ages to make. I remember thinking, "Why?" (laughs). But, no, it was amazing. Someone sent me a book I’m reading right now, a book of Charles Baudelaire poems. I thought, "Wow, I was going to buy that." That was nice.

I don't usually post interviews with Kristen but with a quote like this how could I resist:
"Bella and Edward, played by Robert Pattinson, share a very intense love in his film. How was it working with Robert?
Well, I basically cast him. We did one day of auditions and a bunch of guys came in. Catherine Hardwicke, the director, afterwards was like, "What do you think? This is such a hard choice." I was like, "Are you kidding me!? Its such an obvious choice!" It couldn't have been better. It was sort of perfect."

Why did you demand that Edward and Bella's big kissing scene be toned down?
Why did you demand that Edward and Bella's big kissing scene be toned down?
The problem is if you're going to continue with the other movies, there's a very gradual build to their physical relationship. And what Edward is capable of when he first meets Bella changes very much by the time he's become more committed to the relationship. They reshot the first kiss scene and actually added a special effect and some really cool things that added so much. And it's the only kiss scene.
You also asked for some minor script changes and insisted on Kellan Lutz's casting as Emmett. Did you always feel comfortable putting your foot down?
My personality is such that I have a really hard time being critical with other people. I can be critical of myself all day long. But I hate to step in and say, ''I really wish this was different.'' But it's been good for me just in general to have to speak up because I am so invested in this. I've forced myself, like with the Emmett situation, to take a step forward and say, ''I don't like this.'' And that's hard for me, but I'm glad of every time I did it and I don't think I stepped on too many toes and everyone seems to still like me.

In today's LA Times countdown they bring us a real gift, an interview with Robert Pattinson. Here is some of it:
What goes through your mind when you're greeted by crowds of screaming fans?
It's kind of like being in some medieval battle (laughs). I mean I guess that's the closest analogy, especially after yesterday. A ton of people ran down the street outside the Apple store. I felt like I was literally being charged by Celts (laughs).
What do you use in your hair that makes it stand no matter what you do to it?
This kind of residue product from my youth (laughs). I don't know, I guess just stressing out all the time, I'm just always grabbing my hair and stuff. It's so funny how that's become a thing, my stupid hair. I just need a haircut! I need a haircut and I don't like hair being in my face. Now it's like, 'It's his signature style!' (laughs). I'm definitely going to cut it pretty soon though.

How can you attend a Twilight signing? Read carefully! Purchase the $30 Twilight Tour tee and get a wristband that guarantees you access to the signing. 1. When was your first kiss? I was young, actually, maybe like third or fourth grade. It was during Truth or Dare between one of my guy friends my guy friends and two of our girlfriends. The girls would put their lip balm on - I was obsessed with it! The flavors were chocolate, caramel, and strawberry (that one just took my breath away!)

Jen's Report From The Apple Store In NYC

"Catherine came in first to many cheers of course. The interviewer from USA Today asked her some of "standard" Twilight questions that we've heard pretty many times already. She was very nice and funny as always. She said she had just finished editing, etc. about 8 days ago! Rob came in about 15 minutes later and of course the place erupted in delight. Swooning and squealing everywhere! (Only one from me, I swear! ) He had on jeans, a white t-shirt with red writing, a blue hoodie, nike (I think) sneakers, a black cap (which women were all but screaming at him to take off... to which he adamently refused- it was pretty funny.) He said what is it with my hair? And also said that he hadn't washed his hair in like 6 weeks... sure hope he was kidding!"

Carter Burwell who composed "Bella's Lullaby" shares the experience with us on his website.
He has this to say about the Lullaby:
"And so this unnamed tune became "Bella’s Lullaby." It's worth noting, though, that neither Catherine nor I ever called it that. We always referred to this tune as the "Love Theme" and I think it makes much more sense if you think of it this way. It's more complex and emotional than any lullaby I've ever heard."
Here's what he says about Rob:
"This case was unusual in that Rob is a fine musician, and fully capable of playing the piano or probably any other instrument."
