The Hair Cut Just Keeps Going & Going

Robert Pattinson's hair cut made the front page of Yahoo again:

"Buzz" cut

This week, Robert Pattinson, or more accurately, Robert Pattinson's hair, wafted over and settled upon the Buzz big time, as Web devotees of the "Twilight" star clicked away on anything having to do with his new haircut. In trading in his signature unruly locks for a much shorter, untousled do, Pattinson joins the ranks of Elvis Presley and John Edwards as public figures whose haircuts have the power to make people absolutely bonkers. And for those who harbor strong pro or anti new-hair sentiments, please remember: Long tufts or no, he's still Robert Ever-Lovin' Pattinson!

Stephenie Meyer News

The Arizona Republic has named Stephenie one of their "most fascinating people".

"Cave Creek author Stephenie Meyer appears in Twilight, the movie, for less than 60 seconds. Watch for her: She's the pretty brunette ordering a vegetarian plate at a diner. She's so easy to miss, and to think that she's the real star of this show.

Meyer, 34, is the creator of the Twilight universe, a series of books that has sucked the nation into a tale of teenage vampires and their love woes. Meyer's four-volume saga has sold 10 million copies. The books spent all year on the best-seller list and even knocked Harry Potter off its lofty top spot."

Goodbye, Mr. Curly Locks

I almost couldn't believe this when I saw it but Rob's hair cut made the New York Times. The New York times for pete sake's:

Goodbye, Mr. Curly Locks

Robert Pattinson, the break-out star of the vampire movie "Twilight," has touched off a furor in some corners of the Internet for recently trimming his wavy hair down to a crew cut, according to yahoo.com. The Web site reports "a frenzy of look-ups" for phrases like "Robert Pattinson haircut," "Robert Pattinson new haircut" and "Robert Pattinson with short hair." Among fans' concerns are that Mr. Pattinson's hair will be too short for him to reprise his role when a sequel is to begin filming early next year.

The Most Ridiculous Movie Moments Of 2008

named the baseball scene from Twilight one of The Most Ridiculous Movie Moments Of 2008:

TWILIGHT -- VAMPIRE BASEBALL/WESTSIDE STORY MOMENT

Going into "Twilight," you'd expect to see some teen angst, a little blood sucking, and a lot of moony-eyed swooning. Yet the baseball game might be a surprise. Apparently, vampires love to don uniforms popular during the Black Sox scandal and play ball in thunder storms. Apparently, Edward can bolt after any fly ball with lightning speed, even if the special effects used makes him look more like Speedy Gonzales than an undead dreamboat. And apparently when two rival bands of vampires meet, they face off Broadway-style, like the Sharks and the Jets in "West Side Story."

**That scene was AWESOME!! Yeah, maybe the face-off part was a little West Side Storyish but over all the baseball scene was one of my top 3 scenes in the whole movie. What do you think? Does it deserve to be on their list?

A Look Back At The Year That Was 'Twilight'

Twilight couldn't have had a bigger year. The Blog Idol Chatter takes a look back at "The Year In Twilight":

May 9th: the movie trailer for "Twilight" takes the blogosphere by storm

July 16th: Entertainment Weekly (and everyone else) begins talking about "Stephenie Meyer's Vampire Empire" and fans begin to count the days to the release of Book Four of "Twilight."

August 1st: USA Today calls Meyer the "most famous author you've never heard of" and likens Meyer to the next JK Rowling, while fans keep counting down the days to the release of "Breaking Dawn."

August 2nd: "Breaking Dawn" comes out with enormous fanfare, midnight parties, and a NYC concert/book release event simulcast all over the web.

August 26th: The backlash against "Breaking Dawn" is in full swing, and fans debate (and some defend, including me) the merits of "Breaking Dawn" as the last installment of "Twilight."

September 3rd: Stephenie Meyer's unfinished manuscript for "Midnight Sun"--which is "Twilight" told from Edward's perspective--is leaked online for all to read (but I do not!)

October 31st: "Twilight" fans are treated to a new movie trailer and start counting the days to the film's moved-up pre-Thanksgiving release date.

November 12th: Cue the screaming, teenage girls (and their moms)! Fans get a taste (so to speak) of Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen, in the flesh.

November 21st: The movie "Twilight" releases nationwide, to mixed reviews.

November 24th: It's official--regardless of reviews, the Twilight movie is a huge hit, grossing $70 million its first weekend.

December 15th: Though "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke bows out of the same role for Twilight sequel, "New Moon," author Stephenie Meyer reassures fans that film number two will be just as good (if not better) than the first, as Chris Weitz signs on to head the project.
